Using Inkscape 1.3.2 (091e20e, 2023-11-25, custom)
I've drawn this shape manually using straight lines and bezier curves and tried to combine the lines into one by joining nodes and hitting "path-combine", however inkscape doesn't seem to recognise it as one single object that - for example - can be filled. If I do try to fill it it fills a triangle at the top and the wrong side of the arc at the bottom. I'm ultimately trying to use the outset tool on this, which doesn't work at present beacuse it's seeing two separate shapes rather than one.
It´s not a continuous path; Select all - then take Node-tool and draw a rectangle around the whole shape to select every nodes - then hit the button where it says: "Join selected nodes". Fill color should be now working.

Here's a pic of what I'm talking about, plus the 2nd picture has the nodes

Thank you so much polygon, worked perfectly.
