Similar to Document Properties saved as default?, how can I set up default document properties for non-Inkscape SVG files?
I have set up a default template for new files:
File > Save Template... > [x] Set as default template
but whenever I open a plain SVG file, I need to edit at least the "Display" properties: "Page" and "Desk" colors to have it useful to me.
There are some presets for this in the Quick Setup tab in the Welcome dialogue.
The changes is stored in preferences.xml (group id="template").
Thank you very much! I had to (find out how to) re-enable the Welcome dialog to see I had chosen the wrong colors in the Quick Setup, to start with.
Then I had to do some digging to find %APPDATA%\inkscape\preferences.xml on Windows, but finally editing it allowed me to fine-tune to my preferences.
