I am trying to save files as either an svg or dxf for use with my Wazer waterjet cutter. The SVG files all save as HTML and won't load into the Wazer software nor do the dxf files. Any suggestions? Many thanks. m

I would save as an Inkscape SVG or Plain SVG. Convert all objects to paths prior to saving a copy as svg.

If you see the browser icons (like web pages) in your system directories, it is typically due to the SVG filetype not being associated to Inkscape. SVG is a web/browser file format.

Thank you. I am getting the browser icons in my directories, which then won't load to WAM. I have tried all different options for saving and exporting as SVG but haven't converted the objects to paths. Well I don't think I have. I'll try that. Thank you for the link to Wazer support. I'll give that a read. My head is spinning at the moment with all the jargon. :)

Hoping you luck in finding a solution! Very cool. May I ask, what are you cutting?

Hi Audrey. I am getting there thank you. Hopefully I will be cutting glass shapes to start and then maybe in the future other items.

I was able to load this Inkscape svg into https://wam.wazer.com/wazercam online without any problems.

I'm not sure about the scaling conversion etc.

Sorry if it isn't clear in the upload, the image to the left is the svg.

The one to the right is the WAM result.

@inklea Many thanks for your help. I could load images I had created in Inkscape no problem, I just couldn't use my previous images. I think I might have sorted it now. Fingers crossed. Just need to get the machine put together now to test it out.
