I didn't find any comment topic letting newcomers as me comment some SplashScreen proposals, so here it is.
Please feel free to comment your preferred screen, the one you voted or even others you liked, and so on !

My vote did go for this one :

Since IMHA it is fresh and not so yet seen screen, and more : when it opens, we feel ourselves breathing the fresh air !
Plus and more : this let beginners thinking the are able to do the same.

Of course I've saw some other awesome works, as for instance this "wow!" effect coupé :

and my choice was difficult, but I guess it could be very cool to let also newcomers imagine they can use Inkscape to do themselves also a good drawing without needing too much drawing skills, so...
