I have just created a topic relating to the layers dialog. This was not really a feature request, and certainly not a bug report, merely a statement that I would prefer that something had been done differently. It was so trivial that it probably should not have been created at all, at least in this forum.
Nevertheless, trivia can sometimes have a disproportionate influence on one's attitude to a product, particularly when it seems that a programmer has gone to some trouble to create a feature which irritates me while, as far as I can see, conferring no benefits on anyone else.
So I wondered whether a forum where this sort of thing could be discussed would be helpful. I would certainly feel more positively about a feature if I new it was helpful to someone else, even if I didn't like it myself. It might also be helpful to the developers to see the views of users who would not request a feature but would still like o express an opinion.
