I would love a nice dialog box that would allow me to put notes in about my file. (fonts, images used, etc.). I use Inkscape with my Cricut cutter, so all of fonts, images, etc. have to be converted to path--so my information is lost. Right now, I can go into Document Properties and put it in under Metadata, but I'd love to just have a "notes" section so I don't see/click through all the other document properties information. Even more fantastic a little icon on one of the main toolbars that would bring up just a Notes dialog box. BTW, loving the software. Thanks so much!
It's funny. I was playing in the software and trying different things. I can do it as a separate layer---and as long as it is only text, Cricut ignores it when I import and just gives me a text warning. So that seems to work and is definitely a better fit than the document properties. Yet, ideally it would be great as as a note. Thanks for the suggestion.

Any chance the Cricut ignores hidden layers, or objects outside the page? If so, you could keep assets and notes out of sight, so to speak.

You can make Layers/Objects invisible - will Cricut see them though?
Yes. Cricut does see them, even if marked hide/invisible.
This would actually be a useful feature! +1
