Hello all. I have installed the latest release of Inkscape. Whenever I open a new document, there is "outline" written in parenthesis (see attached link 1). Due to this, I am unable to see the filled colors and the iported images come with a red cross in rectangle (see attached link 2). As shown, the filled solid and imported images can be seen when exporting. Please help in solving this issue.

Looks like you somehow activated the outline display mode. Try to set
View > Display ModetoNormal.Hi, you can also cycle through display mode using Ctrl+5.
