This is a great extension that I have been using with version 0.92.4 and 0.92.5. To date, I do not know of any version that works with versions 1.x. If anyone san share such workable inx and py files for those Inkscape versions, please do.

Thank you, Polygon, for the link. I located the zip file and installed the files in my 1.01 version.
I even altered the envelope and turned the text 90 degrees as you shared in your posts on the other postings. And I downloaded and used the Warped svg file you shared. But after 30 plus minutes of trying to get a useful result, I could not. I also tried all kinds of envelopes, followed your directions exactly, but still nothing useful.
This bezier envelope extension works beautifully in my 0.92.4 Inkscape version. Just not within Inkscape 1.01 and not with the "updated" extension.
I truly appreciate your time and help on this.
One more thought ... when using this extension for 1.x version(s) ... is the coordinate origin set to the upper left corner (in the preferences.xml) or to a different location on your system?
I am pretty sure the coordinate origin I have in place is the standard one that came with 0.92.4. I am not next to a system currently that has Inkscape installed.
I wonder if this coordinate origin would impact the working of this extension, and other extensions.

I too have been searching for a fix for the Bezier Envelope extension. It was so handy.
If there is an update please let me know. I downloaded a new version from github and it comes p with an error too.
