Is this post intended for me, the poster of this topic?

Or is it intended for others to ask further questions?

If it is directly for me, please know I made this as simple and direct as I can. What deeper explanation from me would be needed? As for "usefullness" or application, that would be in the mind of the individual user.

Aside from things like coloring pages  and dot to dot graphics. I can think of a few other possible uses. Such as tesselstion patterns, and voronoi aids, tile design. Wpap  (faceted) art. Such dots could also serve as a visual reference when considering portions (sub-paths) of your original path.

My aim is to be helpful. Yet I cannot guess or forsee every possible avenue a shared tip can have.

My post was intended for you, yes. The thumbnail presented in the post is not informative as is, and I did not click on the image to enlarge it. Having done so now, I see there is minimal explanation. If you would consider to create similar helpful posts, it would be useful to include the information in a text within the post, as some will not click on an image if there is insufficient explanation to support such an action.

Thank you for sharing your input. I will learn from it. But know I cannot be all things to all people. Please do share any tips or steps or tutorials you believe will benefit others. That is a means of helping us all grow and learn.

That´s a funny way of displaying a design or use as a stylish element. Just be sure that there will be a group of text objects with zero size - which can be deleted of course.

In Photoshop I had a brush similar to this one, to make a dotted path. I usually used it with the dots very close together to draw a string of pearls. I learned this from an old tutorial from 2003:

I have edited the original post to show the entire graphic. That should help with clarity.

I suggest comments be presented in the spirit of community encouragement:

    • Rather than directives (e.g. "do this"), I'd ask questions, (e.g. " is there more specific information?").
    • I'd use "I" statements (e.g. "I am not following... am I missing something?")
    • I'd avoid use of absolutes (e.g. "right way", "wrong way", etc.)... different methods may be more/less suitable for different circumstances.
    • I'd avoid terms that may be perceived as disparaging.
