    Hi. Here are some details on a Path Effect titled Extrude. It is not an Extension such as under Generate from Path.

    It is a great additional tool to use when wanting to extrude paths. 

    According to Tyler Durden this experimental Extrude Path Effect has been around since Inkscape version 1.0.

    I just never knew that nor aware of its "location" file wise.

    See the graphics below for some short and easy details.

    Also there are a few GIF files showing this Path Effect in action. These GIF files can be watched on your favorite browser or  by some other means.

    I think you will find this Extrude Path useful and fun.

    Note: I had to correct some info on the attached graphic files from their original postings.

     So please forgive the different screen resolutions used.
