Hello. Perhaps the following is known or "old news" to users. Perhaps not.
Here are some screen captures where a simple shape is created, then converted to a path. Next, copied into memory, a simple strtroke laid out and the Path Effects > Pattern Along Path used ... with different options applied.
Using such options can result insome interesting outcomes. They may he helpful in creating similar ideas, letter forms, etc.
I really like what you're doing! Please continue with the exploration! I use Pattern Along Path in Tutorial 5. I invite you to take a look and see if it helps keep the imagination fired up:
I'm trying to keep things at a basic level for beginners and it's becoming increasingly difficult as I get new ideas to explore and the occasional technique to develop. If there's anything in the tutorials that you like, please use in good health! In the meantime, please carry on carrying on! Best wishes, Roy

Nice! Thanks for sharing. I use Pattern along Path regularly, but it's easy to forget how much you can do with it, beyond simply repeating a pattern.

Thank you both for your encouraging words.
z3z, you always share helpful answers in your posts. You are a good "pillar" in the inkscape community. :)
Roy, your work is so impressive, detailed, informative, clear, helpful, and beautiful. A big thumbs up, indeed.
Hi Ken,
From one gentleman to another, I appreciate your kind words. A little validation goes a long way! Best regards, Roy
