First go to Path->Object to Path - then Path->Break Apart will work. But it will break the pattern in 2 too. There´s another issue perhaps you might want to address; the overlapping at circle and the 2 strokes isn´t filled with color - you need to select 1 node from the circle and go Path->Reverse. When all shall have the same style you can select strokes and circle and go Path->Combine in first place; Breaking apart will then respects the pattern as a whole.
Hello,
I recently download Inkscape.
During making curved lipid bilayer
In the final step, when I flip the copied lipid layer, the copied lipid layer automatically returns to the original.
so I couldn't flip the lipid layer.
I've attached the file, Anyone please explain why in this situation filp is not possible?
I learn how to flip the object but when I use flip in case of path things and path effects, I couldn't flip.
Thank you in advance.
* I'm using the newest version of Inkscape and Mac OS Ventura 13.0.1
If that´s what you´re after you need to Path->Reverse the curve and flip the pattern vertically (V):
@Polygon
Thank you ! it works.
I really appreciate it.
May I ask one more question?
after the reverse I'd like to do break apart each lipid molecules. but also Break apart does not work for me...

Thank you Sir.
You save me.
Have a good day.
