I wanted my islands to be a different colour than my lake so I created a new layer for them above the lake. When I did so I realized that the blue of the lake was affecting the colour of the islands. How do I ensure that the colour of the previous layers do not affect the objects that are on the layer above them. Thank you!
No I haven't set the island layer to blend mode but I've set it to 50% opacity for stylistic purposes. Even when I set the islands to 100% opacity they still have a blue tinge from the lake layer.Β

Is the island layer set to less than 100% opacity, or have you set a blend mode anywhere? These can affect the colours displayed.

Hi, thank you for the help.

Maybe you have set the wrong order of the layers - I guess the "blue" one is not the top layer? Otherwise please upload an example file please.
