enclosed is the globe, what is suppose to be an icon. BUT when I make it smaller it two lines are incompleted. Apparently I did something wrong. Please look at it. Thanks a lot.
This is mysterious. At small zoom levels, the horizontal and vertical axes appear truncated. This continues to occur when the paths are copied into a new blank drawing, when the stroke format is changed, and when viewed in outline mode. I see no weird clips or defs and the group transform seems straightforward. To add to the mystery, when I redraw the axes with the Bezier pen the rendering issue disappears. I'm stumped!
Thanks a lot Paddy_CAD. I redone the globe and the same thing occured. It must be a setting in my copy of inkscape. Enclosed is the new globe. Thank again.

Resetting the preferences can solve a few mysteries. https://inkscape.org/forums/questions/getting-back-to-square-one-and-starting-over-its-easy/
Thanks a lot Tyler, Inkscape set to the default, and icon of globe is OK. You have been very helpful.
