I am working on creating rhinestone templates for shirts. When I create my circle and set the fill to unset it is not transparent. I can not see the color differences underneath when I create clones. My unset fill is turning out to be black.

You can enable a checkerboard at the Document Properties to check transparency.

Sorry, I dont know what that means. I found doc properties but i dont see transparency. I am using version 1.2 if that helps

At the 5.25 mark is where the unset fill is mentioned

At the 7.07 mark is where the copy color is mentioned. I cant copy color because my unset fill is showing up black.

There is no color difference between my square and my image.

    Also, thanks for your help

I don´t get why she set color to "Unset" - perhaps it´s because the video is 4 years old. Here´s a simpler approach imho:

I noticed when you did it the circles only show up on the image, when i did it it was literally 50 x 50 of circles. I attached the side by side.

You need to change some properties at 3.

It´s might be different because your image is a PNG with transparency while I´m using a jpg. Makes sense?

Not really. What does "at 3" mean and I traced a png to get a vector. The vector is what i am using.

Nonono. I traced a bitmap and you´ll find "3." at the last tab "Trace": Apply the value to the clones:

So maybe go Edit->Make a bitmap copy and use this instead for Tiled Clones/Trace.
