Beginners' Questions Unable to "Tap and click" to select object on fluxbox window manager.

    Steps to reproduce:

    • open Inkscape.
    • make a simple object.
    • trying to click the object.

    What happened?

    Object can't be selected by tap or click, happenning specifically on inkscape 1.1 version and fluxbox window manager, downgrading inkscape fixs the bug or problem.

    What should have happened?

    When I tap or click an object, the object can be selected.

    Inkscape Version and Operating System:

    • Inkscape Version: 1.1
    • Operating System: Devuan 4 and Archlinux.
    • Operating System version: Devuan 4 chimaera and Archlinux.

    This might be not the case here but from my experience with  1.1 on macOS and its Welcome screen; If the "Welcome screen" is still active behind the Inkscape window nothing works. I have to close the Welcome screen. That´s why I disabled it, because starting Inkscape via double click on Inkscape files for opening often hides the Welcome Screen and you simply can´t start to edit - until the WS is closed.
