Beginners' Questions Trying to make a rectangle

    Hi, ALL,

    I am trying to make a rectangle, but failing to do so.

    I open the InkScape, click the "Rectangle" button on the left, the click and drg the mouse.

     

    Please check the screenshot of what I am getting...

    WHat did I do that prevents me to work?

    Could be a enormous Stroke width.

    And miniscule rectangle...

     

     

    I'd consider using mm or inches, unless the output is for display.
