I would like start by saying I am new to Inkscape.
I attempted to make a logo but unfortunately I am facing an issue whereby once upload the logo on Hostinger the colors dissapear.
My logo is comprised of a letter and word mark:
I used linear gradient for the letter mark (NW)
and I used fill for the the word mark for each single letter(nouveau wine).
After saving it and opening it appears to be fine.
But the moment I upload it on Hostinger the colors are not visible.
I suspect I forgot an essential step to solve this, but I am not getting anywhere. And preferably I would like the file to remain as an SVG file instead of PNG.
At 1.5MB your file size is huge for a simple image. When you edit images, all the patterns, clip paths, filters, etc. that you create are stored in the svg file even if the relevant shapes are deleted. Inkscape doesn't know if you intend to use these again so they're retained and will accumulate until you explicitly delete them with [File > Clean Up Document]. In this case the file shrinks to 23KB. Removing this excess weight might solve your problem.
Clean up Document found 111 unused definitions and indeed reduced the file size from 1.5MB to 23KB in file size. My question would be if you honestly are going with this autotraced typography version as a logo? This one is made from scratch with some random Serif font, scaled&mangled - but smooth outline+strokes:
@Polygon. Could you please clarify what you mean by "OMG:"? It sounds like you think I do not know what I am doing. Even more so with the little GIF you included in your last post with the pointer showing how to drag and drop... The real mistake came from the fact that you actually wrote to drag-and-drop the large file in the middle of Post #6 and that is a JPEG file. I realized that you should have directed me to Post #4 instead which did include the SVG file...
Dear all,

Could someone pls give me assistance with this?
Thanks in advance.
Pls find in attachment the svg file

Hi Paddy_CAD,
Thanks for your quick response.
I have tried [File> Clean Up Document], it unfortunately did not work.

Hi Polygon,
Wow this looks so much better than what I did thanks for notifying the difference.
Could you send me the version you made:
It´s already there. Depending on your OS click+drag it to your desktop or make a context-click to save_file_to_location etc.
Hi Polygon,
I tried uploading the polished version on the website and sadly it didn't work either.
Pls find attachment.
I also tried different web browsers including Opera and Microsoft edge and still no luck.
Do you perhaps have another idea why it does not work?
Looking forward to your response.
No idea. Looks identical in other SVG editors including Safari browser here:
@Polygon
Where can I find the file you mentionned in your post #6? I would like to check something out.
It´s the large file displayed in #6; click and drag to your desktop or wherever you like.
Unless there is something I don't understand, the file in #6 is a JPEG. I wanted to take a look at the SVG file you used to get to that result
OMG:
@Polygon @rhille
I looked at XML-Editor.
In <filter id = "b">
I removed: <feGaussian Blur id ="feGaussianBlur"> and it finally worked.
Finally the colors are displayed as intended.
I don't have an explanation for this but somehow it worked.

And why was it so hard to find? There´s absolute no file in #6 - I was trying to make clear to Nouveaubr3an in #6 it was already above uploaded.
