Beginners' Questions Trouble Finding Saved Files

I saved my file as .PNG then wanted to try opening it with Windows Photo Viewer or something else, went to my Pictures folder under Documents where it says it saved it, and it is NOT there. So I tried to save it again, in the Save As view, the file is there with my sub-folders that are in my Pictures folder, but from my File Explorer, it is NOT there. I tried saving it and Inkscape's file save says that the file already exists. When I use Windows search for my file name, it doesn't find it.  I then saved it as a .PDF and have the same results.  I shut down Inkscape, rebooted the computer, opened Inkscape and used the Recent file option to re-open my .svg and it opened and contained my recent change. So the file IS there! But for some reason Windows File Explorer can't see it. I made sure my folder options show hidden files (I am a power user and use that option by default anyway).  I'm a systems analyst and solve computer issues for a living, but I've NEVER seen behavior like this.

I am on Windows 10 and don't have similar problems with other applications. I did just download the 1.0 64-bit version. I had an older version of Inkscape on a windows 7 PC but hadn't used it for a while, so downloaded the latest this week.

UPDATE - Did a search on entire C: drive and found all of my saved files in C:\VTRoot\HarddiskVolume3\Users\johnslampe\Pictures!  How do I report this as a bug?

    Doesn't look like a bug.
