Basically, I'm trying to make an SVG of this PNG file, but nothing happens when I hit apply. Seemingly, nothing is traced. I'm using Windows 11, with the latest stable release of 1.3. This is a newly installed Inkscape, and installed from the msi downloaded from here on inkscape.org. I've searched the forum for Trace Bitmap Creates No Paths, but nothing comes up.
Strange. Aside from that it´s working here on macOS with 1.4beta3 with "Autotrace" option - can you try "Brightness cutoff" to check if there´s a difference?
Here's a video of the issue happening in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tusk0ghKa5U

Brightness Cutoff seems to work, not sure why autotrace won't.
Why not make a proper drawing?
Because I'm not good at actual drawing.
Both autotrace and brightness cutoff work for me with a screenshot of your design.
Polygon has a good idea : see your design : it is mostly arcs (portions of ellipses) and a few lines and pretty easy to draw.
