    Hi, does anyone know what to do to make the edges align properly after using the Path/Intersection option? The rest is explained in the pictures.

    Photos

    Example file

    OS: Arch Linux (Cachy OS);

    Inkscape: 1.3.2, newly installed, extra repo;

    Late response, but here goes.

    I can't see an alignment problem in either of your links. Maybe I don't understand the question. Can you provide more information?

    In the video I show how it looks to me. Sorry for the late reply.

    Hello. I have the same problem.

    One work around from that is before you Path > Intersection, make sure that you remove the Stroke Paint.

    You're seeing the expected behaviour. Boolean operations only operate on closed paths. Strokes are ignored. In your case, the resulting shapes have strokes applied so there's an apparent discontinuity, but the underlying geometry is correct. Try changing the stroke thickness. Higher values will amplify this effect and zero values will eliminate it.

    But the strokeΒ color is transparent and its thickness is 0.

    At high zoom levels you're seeing the round off errors in Inkscape's internal boolean operation calculations. These can't be eliminated, but you can reduce them.

    Open Inkscape preferences [shift+ctrl+p]
    Navigate to [Input/Output > SVG output]
    Increase the value of [Numeric precision: xx]

    If you reduce this value to 2 you'll see some crazy errors. Just moving shapes around the canvas distorts them.
