As the title says, my text tool only types transparent text. I can duplicate an existing black text and change the text but a new block of text is invisible. I have searched everywhere to try and remedy this, to no avail.
Perhaps a re-installation will solve it but I wondered if anyone has come across this.

Double-clicking the text tool opens the tool's preferences, where styles can be assigned.
