InkScape 1.2

Mac OS High Sierra

I can't get text to change color fill. I have no problems with other objects changing color fill.

Opacity is set at 100%.

I've tried the suggestion below but to no avail.

I have installed Inkscape 1.0 and have the same issue. I found out solution (but I'm sure it's the bug):

1. Select the object shape (close path).

2. Select "FIll and Stroke" then at tab "Fill" select "Linear gradient" .

3. After you will see the fill color, then select again at tab "Fill" select "Flat color" .

Voila you can see the fill color. Hope it will help

Nothing springs to mind. Perhaps you can upload the svg file for further investigation.

The problem is that you placed an outline too thick (5.4mm) in the text. Do it:

1) Click on the text to select it;

2) Holding the Shift key, go to the bottom of the screen, in the colors bar and click on the "X";

3) This will eliminate the contour;
