As part of the translation of a book, all I have been provided with are eps files. I can open them with Inscape 1.2 under LinuxMint and I can see the text layer (OUF) but as soon as I edit the text (to translate it) the whole layout disappears. Is there a way to avoid this?
I don't think there is a way to revise the existing text that will provide the layout control I'd want. The originals can be modified in the XML editor, but they will likely be out of place.
I'd type new text objects over the originalsΒ and hide or delete the originals as desired.
Hello everyone,

Thank you in advance for your help,

Thanks a lot Tyler for this, I will do what you suggest. (I have about 200 eps files like those to translate).
Thanks again.
