Hello. I'm fairly new to Inkscape. I'm using version 1.2 on Linux Mint 20.3. The text tool seems to be a bit broken. When I drag a new text box and start typing, instead of appearing in the box, the text tool starts a new single line text entry in a different place and the box disappears. To test, I installed Inkscape on a Windows 10 machine and the text tool works perfectly as expected. Any ideas on a fix for the Linux version?

No help but in UM22.04 Inkscape 1.2 it does work properly.
@borebonn Hi. I am also on Linux Mint 20.3 with Inkscape 1.2. It works fine for me.
Thanks all. I downloaded the appimage and it didn't work either so I deleted the Inkscape folder in ~/.config and now everything works fine.
