Thanks for the help Inklinea. I forgat to mention that I dont see that square in inkscape, only when I open in the illustrator. Maybe enclosed print screen says more. It has to be 5000 x 5000px. Thanks again
Layer>Layers - the layer containing the small white square has been set to hidden ( the eye symbol is closed )
Also - if you want to reset the grey page background back to white, that can be done via File>Document Properties and click the swatch at the bottom of the page pane.
Inklinea I appreciate your help, but since I am a newbie I am still having truble with that square. I deleted square at the top left corner, but there is anothor one in the middle, see jpeg, also if i click the swatch at the bottom I get white whole working space, not just page 5000 x 5000px. Thanks a lot ones again
I just found up, that if I used default inkscape working page, and save it as .eps there is no square-rectangle object in the file, while opend in illustrator. BUT If I pick 5000 x 5000px working page I get image above with a white default page. How to delete this page, what I dont see in inkscape? Thanks.
SOLVED! On document properties window i did not resize page to drawing or selection, thus default page was underneath, since new page was 5000 x 5000px.
Hi everyone, please forgive me my ignorance, but I struggle with a square outline on a vector. I set a page to be 5000px x 5000px. I increased my white working area accordinly. I save it as a .eps file. But when I open a fineshed vector in an Illustrator I see square outlines there. Obviesly something went wrong. I tried everthing. Any advise, help appreciated. Thanks a lot
Are you trying to make something like the two files I have attached ?
I'm not sure why you set the page to 5000px x 5000px ?
Turn on snapping to page. Drag a square from the top left corner to the bottom right corner. Clear the square fill.
Start pressing the '>' key until the rectangle has grown to a size you would like.
Then press Ctrl+Shift+R to resize the page to the outside of the rectangle.
Then save.
[edit : If you want the square to be a white background square, set the fill to white and press the 'end' key to send it to the bottom of the stack]

In Inkscape it sounds like you have rogue object. Try pressing 'tab' which will cycle through any invisible objects. Then when highlighted press 'del'
If you post the svg I can look at the code.
Inklinea thanks, I tried tab key and then delete but did not work. Enclosed is SVG file. Thanks a lot
