Beginners' Questions Snap to cusp node not working for all objects

    Hello,

I have an image where I have some issues with snap to cusp node for certain objects. As far as I can tell, all of them have cusp node corners. All of the segments in the image are copies of each other. Holding close to the corner and dragging it close to another corner, a snap to cusp node will in some cases be suggested. But for some of the corners, it is not working as expected. I have attached an image along with some text explaining where it is not working.

Why is the option to snap to cusp node not appearing for some of the corners of the objects?

It is working here in v 1.2.2, with these settings:

Occasionally, and for no apparent reason, Inkscape can't find the snap point you want. When this happens, I will draw a construction line with an alternative snap point. In your case you might duplicate the desired snap target path. Use the node tool to delete most of the nodes so that the target node becomes an end node. Move any remaining nodes out of the area to provide a clear target.

Thanks for the replies. Indeed the settings Tyler shared work for me. After some testing I found that there are two settings that interfere with snapping to cusp nodes: Smoot nodes and Line midpoints. As long as they are off, it will work.
