I am trying to do this in Inkscape. It is so easy in Cricut Design Space but can't figure it out in Inkscape. Thanks for any suggestions and direction.
Thanks! In design space you can offset a word, select the whole image, and then slice the middle out. So you are left with just the outline and the middle is empty. This makes it so you can add another color of vinyl in the center. This is what I am trying to do.
Hi Everyone,

Not sure what sclicing means in this regards. I'd do it that way:
Type text
Convert with Path->Union - duplicate
Open Path-Effects->Offset and make your adjustments.
when satisfied go Path->Object to path
Select all and go Path->Combine - delete Stroke color set Fill color - done

This is how it works in Inkscape:
For a use in cricut, don't forget to flatten LPE once satisfied or do path > convert to path.
^ Noted in #2, but also the conventional Path>Path outset can be used before the Path>Path combine operation.
