So, today is my first time using Inkscape. I pulled up the manual (help/manual) and am working my way through the tutorial. The current project is to draw a Swedish flag. I've gotten as far as setting the grid and am baffled. The length of the page needs to be divided into 16ths with the height divided into 10ths. To accomplish that we set the Spacing X & Y fields to 20. Go figure! It works, but it doesn't make sense. My initial inclination is to use 16 & 10 for those fields, but, of course, that doesn't work. Can someone please explain to me just why 20 is so magic in this example? Thanks.

16 x 20 = 320 (mm)
10 x 20 = 200 (mm)
page size = 320x200 mm
Well, duh. Sometimes I wonder at myself.
No problem, happens to everyone :)
