how can I make scaling relative to a given point?
when rotating, you can set the point from which the countdown starts. and when scaling what to do?
example: you need to set the size of the image so that its fragment (in this case, the extreme points of the facade) is equal to 20 cm.
how to do this without endless and inaccurate selection?

Go in Rotation mode and drag the rotation center to the point you want to scale from - go back in Transform mode - hold shift+ctrl key and drag from 1 of the 8 arrows.

    fabulous. thank you.
it's much more convenient this way.
    then another question:
is it possible to set the distance from the center to the cursor a certain distance? or set how much to move the cursor.
(if yes, then the functionality is close to perfect)

As far as I know, there is no parameters that can set the exact distance between center of object and center of rotation. But you can use snapping options as a workaround.

Let's say you want to offset center of rotation of your path/shape 1 cm on X axis and 2 cm on Y axis

    • Draw a rectangle with no stroke 1 x 2 cm
    • enable snapping toΒ  : bounding boxes corners, center of objects and center of rotation.
    • Move rectangle so that one corners snaps to the center of the path you're working on, then select the path you're working on and move its center of rotation to the opposite corner of rectangle.

As a workaround, draw a temporary construction line from the required centre point. Select your shape and snap the rotation centre to the cusp node you just drew. You can then delete the construction line if you want.
