I've used coloring contrast from Filter and saved the svg file.  But when I loaded this svg file to another tool, the filter effect doesn't show at all.  Is there any extra step I need to save for this filter effect?

    Hi Michelleshao,

Filter effects will only show correctly in Inkscape.
In what other tool do you use your svg file?

    • The most stable & easy option is to export your design as a png. All the effects will be there too.
It will no longer be a vector file, but png is very all-round. It will import in most other programs.
    • I have read that svg filters can be imported in Adobe Illustrator. Difficult to explain, as I do not have that program.
    • If you save your file as a pdf, filter effects will be rasterized. When doing so, you choose at how much dpi they will be rasterised.
They will show up in the pdf file.

    Hi Kirstie,

Thank you so much for the reply.  I am using the created svg file in my company's tool.  I guess I can try to save it to png file, and then convert it back to svg file?  My company's tool is trying to replace the png by svg, for sizing issue.
