I'm using inkscape since a long time and always wondered how to set the style of e.g. a line for the upcoming lines to be drawn. Use Case: I have the problem that when drawing a line I'm currently always getting arrows at the end which I manually change to straight end via menue. That changes the style of the selected line, but not for the upcoming lines I want to draw. How to I do that?
Seems marker donΒ΄t work as "last used Style" but copy+shift, cmd,V (Edit->Paste Style) will insert the Style (need to be copied before from a path with arrow).
Hello,
I'm using inkscape since a long time and always wondered how to set the style of e.g. a line for the upcoming lines to be drawn. Many thanks for your help

You have checked "Last used Style" selected in the toolΒ΄s Preferences. Double-click the tool in the tool shelf to get to its properties.
Polygon, many thanks. But I wonder what is defined as Last used Style.
Example
1.) I draw a Bezier line
2.) Format the line with thickness 0.5mm, red color and one arrow at the end
3.) I double click to end the drawing
4.) I now draw a new Bezier line
5.) double clikc at the end.
6.) What I get a a line as in 2, but without the arro at the end.
So my question is - are arrows not part of the last used style?
Sometimes I get automatically arrows at the end (when I've used them before), but I do not see a systematic way to do that?
Many thanks
Rainer
Btw: I'm using Inkscape 1.3.2 (091e20e, 2023-11-25, custom)
Seems marker donΒ΄t work as "last used Style" but copy+shift, cmd,V (Edit->Paste Style) will insert the Style (need to be copied before from a path with arrow).
mmmh, sometimes I get, when drawing a new line, automatically arrows and sometimes not.-Β that it my issue - I don't know how to control that
