I am trying to put a few images together from the internet for a power point project I am doing. One of the images has a large white background in it. How do I set the background to transparent? Or remove it?
I'd clip or trace it in Inkscape, or better, use Gimp first.
If you want to stay inside Inkscape try Filters->Fill and Transparency->Light Eraser and have a good play with the "Expansion" factor.
