Hi I am hoping some of the many Inkscape experts in this forum can help me with this..
I am in the process of creating a Comp Branding Logo & 'Stationery' set for client [ Bus card, Letterhead Invoice, Proj Reports, Monthly Reports, etc] Iinitially client requested Stationery to be made up for 'commercial printing', so I designed the Files & saved to PDF ' as per printers standards..
However the original requirement has changed, and now they wantΒ a 'soft copy' instead...so that they can 'insert' Logo into Docs in in Word plus the various ' form type Pages'Β so that they can bring into their word and type over if possible, so have asked for 'PNGs' of the Logo in the various colours, and well basically all the Graphics.
I explained about Raster re Vector and that it might be too blurry .. but they still wanted us to 'have a go' ...so I sent them the PNG files
Apparently [Ive not seen what they are seeing, as I dont have MS Office and they ar ein a diff location] ... the logo 'kinda' works BUT the 'whole page' docs def dont .. they are way too blurry and for some reason some areas of the text are apparantly moving 'out of place' too ?
PLEASE can someone tell me exactly [ as in in step by step] how to do this ?
I found some articles on line saying that Office 365 [ which is what client is using] CAN read SVG files ... although there are also people who've struggled to get it to do so ..
We played around with the various PNG files [Exported from Inkscape at 300dp]i in Powerpoint & MS Word but we were unsuccessful.
Here are a few of the online articles re using SVGs in MSWord Office 365
"Ideally, a logo should be sized with its largest dimension being 1920 pixels. This means that if the logo is wider than it is tall, make it 1920 pixels wide, and let the height fall where it may. Likewise, if the logo is taller than it is wide, make it 1920 pixels tall and (*)Β pixels wide."
I created the Logo according to those pixel measurements...BUT being an Inkscape 'Newbie' I am seriously thinking I must have made a mistake somewhere..
My Apologies Im not sure I said the client DOES have 365 so that is why I was struggling to understand why he coudl not get the svg files to view correctly

According to Microsoft, SVG is acceptable if you have a sub:
Β
You could get the trial for a month, but if you exceed the month, they will ding your card for a year sub ($100).
I can find no other way to get high quality artwork into Word 365.
My Apologies Im not sure I said the client DOES have 365 so that is why I was struggling to understand why he coudl not get the svg files to view correctly
Is there anyone who can help me?
Just to re-clarify the Client DOES have Msoft 365

Many Thanks Tam
