Hi I been trying to print out more then one copy of my image. It's saved as an svg. file. I'm using window 8.1 . ink-scape version 0.92. It just will only print one copy. What do I need to do to print multiple copies. Help?
Hi. What is your "printing process"? If you use any other program ... to print out a result (a graphic) - do you use the same steps with your printer? If you even print out a text file ... to see on paper the contents you created ... do you see/get a result? If you have created an image file from Inkscape, it should print as many copies as you have asked for ... unless there is a connection problem with the printer or printing media.
I am sorry, your request sounds almost like stating "it does not work". And that "request" is too vague.
Please tell specifically what you are doing with your Inkscape result - the printing steps - that is d-i-f-f-e-r-e-n-t when you use other software.
And also, have you ever printed succesfully when using Inkscape?
Is it one particular Inkscape that will not print, while other Inkscape files will? What are the printing steps successfully used in other sttempts, versus the failed attempts?
Trying to learn or discover the distinctions between the printing steps and any other useful information.
When I print out the svg file image. it prints it out perfectly,.one copy. But when I set my printer to print more then one copy of the same image it will not print 2,3.4.5 so on and so on copies. My printer works perfectly for all other printing. This only happens when printing in ink scape.
So, this only happens with this one Inkscape file? If you create a new Inkscape file, and draw somthing very simple on it, such as a filled square, can you print it multiple times?
Also - as a test - try this. Open the file that will not print multiple times. Then, while that file is open, open a new blank Inkscape file. Copy from the troublesome file just 1 object over into the new file. Test print it. Will it print multiple times? Then, if your troublesome file has any more objects, copy them over, one at a time, and test printing from it. Keep adding objects one by one. I am asking this in order to try to learn if the file itself (or one of its objects) has an issue. After doing that, share the svg file here so others can look at it and test print from their homes. Thanks.
I usually save the file as a png at a higher dpi and can easily reduce the size afterwards. And if needed, convert it to a different image format (such as bmp, jpg, etc.) I have not encountered any printing issue, however. That is why I have asked the above questions. If something prints correctly one time, it should print correctly multiple times. Trying to drill down to what the "issue" is.

I usually save a copy as pdf and print that from Adobe reader.
Yes, that is a great option.
