Can the file be converted to a .pes for machine embroidery?? I have looked but don't find anything yet.

I've moved your message to it's own topic. What kind of file are you talking about, that you want to convert to PES?
If it's SVG, then the answer is no. However, Inkscape does have a machine embroidery extension. Let's see if I can find the link.... Here it is:
