I've recently used Inkscape for the first time, since I wanted to design some label stickers for my dad to use. I will admit that I have no idea what good design practices are and was just messing around until I got a final product that I really liked. Since I'm trying to get this printed, I have to export it as a pdf file. When I do that, I lose some colors and usually most of the patterns. Is there any solution to this or should I start the whole design again with some pointers in mind?
Yes, the top and bottom parts are missing the pattern, the colors are messed up as well. I'm not sure how to implement the pattern so that it will export to pdf
I did not, so sorry! Do I need to put the pattern inside of the original shape? I'm sorry, I've had little to no experience with this, I'm not sure what to do with the node tool. If I put it back into the shape, the pattern scale changes.
First go Extensions->Arrange->Deep ungroup to get rid of all groups for easier access to content then try this with the node tool:
I guess itΒ΄d be helpful to select all (make sure everything is visible and not locked) then make a new "Layer 1" and ctrl/click and go "Move to Layer"= 1.
Hello everyone!
Thank you very much in advance.

Seems to work here so far, except the honey comb pattern fill alignment:

Did you checked my exported PDF above? Take node tool to arrange the pattern fill.

Thank you so much for the reply!

I managed to get most of it thanks to you! Would you happen to know why I'm getting the blue lines as well?Β

Will try some more after work, thank you so much for the replies.
I guess this is due the Blend mode "Difference" which seems not well supported in PDF.
You can try File->Save As->PDF and check "Rasterize filter effects".
