Beginners' Questions "Pattern along path" but without deformation

And of course, when I say "without deformation", I mean without deformation of the path being patterened.  In the attached image, the image of the pattern in the lower left (circled in green) is the original shape (more or less), while the images of the pattern circled in red (left of center) have been deformed in accordance with the curvature of the control path.  So, I would like the guys in red to have the same shape as the guy in green, but to still have their orientation match that of the tangent to the control path (as is already the case).  Is this possible?  Thanks.

Look for an extension called "Scatter" instead.

"Scatter" will be renamed to "Distribute along Path" in future versions.

@TylerDurden: Yeah, that makes sense.  When mucking through the menus, I saw "Scatter", but didn't associate that with what I wanted to do . . .  "Distribute Along Path" is significantly more intuitive.  👍
