Hello,  I have a pattern piece I want to fill with the paint bucket.  I have been able to do this for other pieces but this one is not working for me.  The error message I get says that the "area is not bounded, can not fill."  I can not find any gaps.

Do you have any ideas why this is not working for me?

I just found out what my problem was - I had inadvertently made a change to Paint Bucket toolbar.  Once I restored the Paint Bucket's Fill By: to Visible Colors I was able to fill my pattern piece with the gray color I wanted to fill with.  But it is strange that I would receive an error message saying the area was not bounded...I made no changes to the path.
