I'm sure this is simple, but I can't figure it out! :-)

In the attachment is the desired outcome (the black background/outline) to the logo I built. The logo is the white and orange(ish) colors. How do I do this in Inkscape please?

I just read your message.  I get so focused on shoveling in content that it's easy for me to forget the basics of courtesy, such as Go to Top buttons.  I appreciate the pointer.  I'll starting working on them.  It'll give me a break from writing #17.  And yes, I do shovel in a lot -- it's part of my style.
