I'm sure this is simple, but I can't figure it out! :-)

In the attachment is the desired outcome (the black background/outline) to the logo I built. The logo is the white and orange(ish) colors. How do I do this in Inkscape please?

    Hi Trogladyte,

Roy here.  If you're into reading (and I'm a reader), I'm writing a tutorial series that might be a good resource for you.  The table of contents is at:

    https://roy-torley.github.io/Inkscape_Tutorial/Inkscape_Tutorial_Contents.html

The early tutorials, such as #3, #4, and #5 are probably the ones that have the most material for you.  If this helps, great!

    Best wishes,

    Roy

My pleasure!  Take your time with it.  There's no way you can absorb everything at the same time.  When I write, I usually have a cup of hot cocoa by my side.  I wish you lots of fun times with creating logos and more!  Roy

    Hi Ian,

I just read your message.  I get so focused on shoveling in content that it's easy for me to forget the basics of courtesy, such as Go to Top buttons.  I appreciate the pointer.  I'll starting working on them.  It'll give me a break from writing #17.  And yes, I do shovel in a lot -- it's part of my style. Once you're done, even kryptonite can't stop you!  Take care, Roy
