    Why open new document when i open svg file in macbook?

    From downloads folder i open with double click and inkscape open a new document in the background.

    Is Inkscape already running? When I drag an existing file onto the not running Inkscape.app logo in the Dock it will just opens the chosen file. (M1-Mac/BigSur/Inkscape1.3)

    M2 air with ventura and the newest inkscape

    Mmh - the warning about using Inkscape on Ventura has gone, so the devs seems to have fixed the gtk-issues recently. I have no idea what's causing the issue on your side. Please consider writing a bug report at the appropriate site. Thanks.
