For whatever reason, objects and paths will sometimes just pick a random location to sit and say "No, I don't wanna move!" like a petulant child.
I've tested this in both Inkscape 1.1 and 1.2 for Windows, on Windows 10 Pro version 22H2 build 19045.2604, and it only started happening a few hours ago.
The arrow keys don't respond either, except when outside the "snapping zone".
(As a side problem, gradients don't work on this imported flame object, and also curves and paths sometimes degrade into nothingness, and Simplify Paths sometimes makes shapes into crazy abominations or just completely deletes the shape entirely. Same is true of Outset/Inset)
I tried resetting the preferences, but things still snap to locations. It seems to happen when I group two or more objects together, but at other times it seems to happen at random.
Changing the scale, or rotating or flipping the object “unlocks” it and lets me move it like normal, but if I put it back to the original size or rotation, it snaps back again as long as the object is within the “snapping zone”.

Before proceeding please find Inkscape´s Preferences and hit "Reset Preferences" and restart Inkscape and check behaviour again.
