Beginners' Questions Not sure how to do this--vignettes

    I am making a collage of photos, so I have clipping masks etc.  Great.  No problem.

    But--one clipped photo I would liked to add a vignette on the clipped photo.  The clipping mask is a modified polygon--not a regular shape.

    How can I do this within Inkscape (I can imagine how to do it by using, e.g, Gimp)?

    Vector programs have clips (hard edge) and masks (variable opacity).
