I'm a newbie and am learning Inkscape. And I realised that NONE of the extensions is working :( I keep getting the same message for every extension I try. Any help? I reinstalled Inkscape about 3 times, I downloaded it directly from the website and from the Microsoft App Store... I'm lost and don't really know what to do. I'm running Windows 10 Pro x64. Just to clarify, I'm talking about extensions that already come with Inkscape, I didn't try to install anything else.I get the message pictured here for every single extension I try... Please help
Since you've done so much downloading and installing and reinstalling, let's start by making sure you have no trace of Inkscape, before you try again.
First, uninstall whatever versions of Inkscape might still be installed
Look in the file manager, and delete any Inkscape folders that might be left over, even if they are empty
Now, download a fresh file from the website (not the microsoft store). Choose either the Full or Optimal installation choices. If you don't install Python, not only the extensions won't work, but a lot of other things won't work. To be honest, I don't know why developers make it possible for ordinary users to deselect installing python, because this is exactly what happens. They should either make that not available except for developers, or at least put some kind of note that python is required.
