After updating to 1.3 I do not see an imported image(drag-drop) on my canvas, only an empty square wit diagonal-lines. Exporting the canvas to png, the image is visible, but at the inkscape-canvas its not visible.
When I draw an object like square or circle I only see the outline, but can not apply fil-color or line-color or gradient. Canvas-object still remains only outlines vivible.
Text-coloring also inot visible.
In layers/objects/fill&stroke all selected colors are visible, but not on the canvas.

I work for 10 years now with Inkscape, so now about opacity, visibility etc.Β Β
But I can not solve the problem

Before proceeding further, I'd reset the preferences:Β https://inkscape.org/forums/questions/getting-back-to-square-one-and-starting-over-its-easy/
(Changing Inkscape versions won't reset these files, so custom preferences can be retained with minor updates.)
Sounds like your display mode isn't set to normal : check it out.
