Beginners' Questions New to this version, need a little help finding stuff

    Question:

    How do you update the Inkscape version? There was a place in the preferences in the the 17' and 19' version. I can't find it in this one. (current Inkscape version is the first attachment)

    Question:

    Old computer was the windows 8, new one is window 10. Is this causing the saving issue with the PNG files when saving/exporting PNG? I can't find the PNG files once they are saved. (second attachment)

     

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    The version of Inkscape in your about screenshot is 1.0.2

    If you would like to update to the latest version: 

    It can always be found on the inkscape.org site.

    At the top Downloads>Current Version ( which at this time is https://inkscape.org/release/1.1/windows/  for windows )

    For the pngs in the File Menu > Export Png Image

    This will open the 'Export Png Image' Panel on the right of the screen usually, the save location is at the bottom of that panel.
