I'm been asked by work to reproduce this font as a button. The font is Bullet but I don't know how to reproduce the white lines or the dark shadow on the inside to make it look more block like.
Sorry it that's not the right way to describe it.
Using Inkscape 1.1 (c68e22c387, 2021-05-23) on Windows.

You can try the Diffuse Light filter:
HI
I am new here and I am struggling with this new app
And struggling with opening a new thread too. ;-) Can you be more precise?
Hey Polygon
Why does mine turn out like this? I used the exact numbers you did.
Could be because of a different scale. Try to reduce the "Smoothness" value and see if this helps.
Hey Polygon
So sorry to be a pain but I need the letter to go from light at the top to darker at the bottom.
I achieved this by putting a box over it and using the gradient tool. I did first try to do it with just the font but that wouldn't really work.
I'm not going to be able to achieve the look I need with the diffuse light plus having it light at the top and darker at the bottom am I?
Thanks so much for the help so far.
Can you upload what you have so far? I will try to alter the settings to match your example as close I can . I have a gradient in the file above BTW.
Hey Polygon
Sorry this isn't the B, I was just using that as an example for what I need it to end up looking like.
I need a few buttons with different letters.
I hope I uploaded this right.
Kind regards,
Sarina
Hi Sarina.
No - I want an Inkscape SVG containing the letters as paths. I don´t have this font.
Hey Polygon
Sorry about that.
Hopefully this is the correct one.
Thank you so much for going out of your way and helping me.
Kind regards,
Sarina
Hi Polygon
Did I upload it wrong?
Kind regards,
Sarina
Hi Sarina.
Not sure about the look you´re after. I copy&paste a few things into a new file to get the diffuse light filter to work again:
Hey Polygon
Sorry I'm terrible at explaining things :(
I need the letter to have the diffuse light and go from light blue at the top to darker blue at the bottom. The colour starts as #009de0.
The font is Bullet small cap. Plus I need a reflection at the bottom.
What do I do first? Diffuse light, gradient or relection.
The B is what we have already, I now have to make a matching POS, S, P, A, D letters.
Kind regards,
Sarina
Hey Polygon
Sorry to bother again. I think I worked it out.
What do you think?
Kind regards,
Sarina
