When i import a pdf it automatically creates another "page".In previous versions it never did this. Now when i import lets say 4 pdf's , i have 4 pages next to eachother.
How can i turn this OFF? The settings to "import" a pdf have changed as well, less options, i can't see an option similar to: import as a object and not a page!
This issue is enough to delete this version and go back to an old version, but i'm sure i'm not the only one who hates this issue?
As a designer i have to combine a lot elements of diff pdf's so you can understand that having another page and another and another is very frustrating. Even more when i export a pdf and it exports ALL the pages!
I tried searching the settings to turn this issue off, but if i would have found it, i would not have asked it here.
So please anyone, how to make all your imported pdf's import as an object rather than a new page.
[File > Open...] and choose a pdf file. [Open] should present you with the dialog below. The default option [Pages: All] will import every pdf page but you can choose any selection of page numbers or page ranges.
no the import screen is not helpfull, because what ever "clip to" option i choose, it still always imports a pdf as a "page". I know i can specify what page.
But i don't think you get what i ment.
But thanks to tyler i do have a workaround now, if i can't control HOW inkscape imports a pdf. Then i'll just delete the extra pages in inkscape itself. Honestly i didn't know i could do that, now i know how, so thanks Tyler.
But still, i'll be glad if inkscape let's you control how you want to import a pdf (like before), i never use pages in inkscape, i only want to import "objects" that happen to be in a pdf.
I find this issue extremely irritating:

I create a new page then paste the contents of the imported file.
