Newbie here from South Africa. Saw a youtube video using the 'motion' extension under 'Generate from path.' Tried it on my PC, did nothing. Tried a couple more times...and nothing. I converted objects to path, and nothing. Did the same for strokes, still nothing.

Could really use your help on this one.
Describe your OS & version, the version of Inkscape and the installer you used, plusΒ any special hardware like tablet/stylus or multiple monitors.
I'm using Windows 8.1, recently upgraded to Inkscape 1.0.2, 64 bit for Windows, no special equipment.
Earlier today I uninstalled the current version of inkscape and installed 0.92 ...worked perfectly. Still confused though. Is it a CPU thing?
I'm using Win 8.1 and 0.92.2 (gaming laptop), and 1.0.2 under Linux Mint (older iMac hw). It shouldn't require much CPU.
There was a significant bugfix release (1.0.2-2) a day or so ago. A lot of broken extensions got fixed.
I'd try downloading a fresh copy of 1.0.2 and see if it works for you. The motion extension is working now on my Linux machine.
Installed a fresh copy. Been at it a couple minutes now. Works like a charm. Tyler, thank you...a lot. You've been great help. Really appreciate it.
