Hello, below i attached the image in question, its a png.
My goal is to make a vector image out of it. I've created some vector images of the same logo but unicolored. My problem is properly converting the flow of color surrounding the image.
I've tried Bitmap and Pixelart, the bitmap produced some lack luster, low quality, blurry images or just yellow/green coloring across the whole image.
The Pixelart did close to what my goal is, but the result was very pixelated and its file size way too big for my working computer.
I've traced the image with bezier curves already but since i cant just use the bucket tool to fill the whole thing unicolor im kind of stuck for now.
Any advice and help on this project would be greatly appreciated!
That's a neat solution Tyler. You stimulated the grey matter and reminded me of another post, which of course I can't find at the moment. I recommended using colour blend modes to colourise a monochrome QR code. The same approach would brighten up a vectorised stag.
Thanks for the answers so far, they look great! I'm having trouble performing them though. I drag the outline above the rainbow gradient as shown, select the same options "path>stroke to path" and then "object>clip>set" but nothing happens, or at least not in a way I can tell. Is there anything I need to be aware of? Like layers perhaps?
I resolved my issue! My attempts not being fruitful was entirely because I didn't make sure to have both the gradient and the outline selected when undergoing the steps as instructed.

Maybe this:
A rectangle with a multi-stop gradient, clipped by a path created from the stroke.
